Samantha Chadwick is an emerging prospect from Connecticut who is a physical player with solid ball-skills and good athleticism. The 5-foot-9 rising junior guard is tough to stop from getting to the basket, she also plays with a tenacious motor which constitutes to her high level of competitiveness. Defensively, she does a good job of sitting down, moving her feet and anticipating where the ball-handler is headed. Chadwick is very goal orientated sporting a 4.0 grade-point-average and is always looking to improve her game playing for the Connecticut Heat travel club team and Lewis S. Mills High School in Burlington, Connecticut whose basketball fan section the “Thunder Dome” was voted best student cheering section in the state. “For the upcoming high school season my goals are to train and strengthen certain aspects of my game such as dribbling. ball speed and court IQ in order to bring my game to the next level”

Chadwick’s high intensity approach to the game resonates well with her teammates and coaches. She has good size for a guard and is capable of putting the ball in the basket through contact. “What I like most about competing on the basketball court is the adrenaline rush that comes from the competition of using my team and our skill-set to compete head to head with that of another team in a competition where both teams want to beat the other team and claim the win”. The Harwinton, Connecticut native is very active in her community and volunteers for Rebuilding Together, to assist in fixing homes for people who are financially incapable. And, has participated in a 30 hour famine to raise money for a food pantry. Samantha Chadwick enjoys studying science and is a determined and focused student-athlete, look for her to have an outstanding 2017-18 high school season on the basketball court on her road to division one.
